HGV Texhnician Oxford

Excel Resourcing are currently recruiting for a HGV Technician to work alternating early/late shifts at the Oxford depot.

Schedule:

Week 1: 7:30- 16:00

Week 2: 13:30-22:00

or

Rotating shifts 07:30 – 16:00 and 13:30 to 22:00

This is what you'll be doing:

  • You'll be responsible for fast and accurate diagnoses using diagnostic tools and for choosing the right repair techniques.
  • You'll work independently to maintain and repair vehicles and components.
  • You'll carry out a range of inspections (MOT, tacho, etc.).
  • You'll provide support and daily mentoring for less experienced technicians.
  • You'll carry out final checks on work that has been completed.

This is what we're looking for:

  • A completed secondary vocational education.
  • A broad vehicle-related technical knowledge
  • An extensive experience in carrying out repairs and maintenance on trucks, components and associated vehicles.
  • Familiarization with developments in the automotive industry.

You will be required to provide your own tool-kit and be in possession of a valid driving licence (preferably HGV but not essential).
