HGV Technician Croydon

An opportunity has arisen in our client Belvedere depot for a qualified HGV Technician in Croydon.

This is what you'll be doing:

• You'll be responsible for fast and accurate diagnoses using diagnostic tools and for choosing the right repair techniques.
• You'll work independently to maintain and repair DAF vehicles and components.
• You'll carry out a range of inspections (MOT, tacho, etc.).
• You'll provide support and daily mentoring for less experienced technicians.
• You'll carry out final checks on work that has been completed.

This is what we're looking for:

• A completed secondary vocational education.
• A broad vehicle-related technical knowledge, preferably of DAF products.
• An extensive experience in carrying out repairs and maintenance on trucks, components and associated vehicles.
• Familiarization with developments in the automotive industry.

You will be required to provide your own tool-kit and be in possession of a valid driving licence (preferably HGV but not essential).

Hours are:

Monday - Saturday 06:00 - 14:30 then Monday - Friday 14:30-22:00 alternate weeks.

or

Monday - Saturday 13:30 - 22:00 and alternate Saturday 06:00 - 14:30
